Pokémon Pokopia is an upcoming life-simulation game in the Pokémon franchise, developed by Game Freak and Koei Tecmo and published for the Nintendo Switch 2 platform. Rather than traditional Pokémon battling and gyms, Pokémon Pokopia places you in a peaceful, creative world where you play as a Ditto transformed into a human-like character and work to shape an empty land into a thriving paradise for Pokémon. You collect materials like wood and rocks, farm crops, build homes, craft furniture, and learn Pokémon-specific moves (e.g., Bulbasaur’s Leafage or Squirtle’s Water Gun) to interact with and transform the environment.

Play as a Ditto that has transformed to look like a human! Find and befriend your fellow Pokémon, carve out a life for yourself, and work together with Professor Tangrowth to build a town where everyone can live together.

Learn the moves of your fellow Pokémon to change the land around you—such as using Bulbasaur’s Leafage to make wild grass grow. You can also use special abilities to transform and navigate the world, like crossing water with Lapras’s Surf.

As you help nature flourish, more Pokémon will appear for you to meet, learn from, and befriend.

Create habitats, cultivate crops, and enjoy a world with varied weather and a real-time day and night cycle. Gather materials to craft items and furniture, till fields to grow delicious crops, take photos of fun moments, and customize your hairstyle and clothing. There’s so much to do, but no need to rush. Go at your own pace and enjoy the journey. Sometimes, simply taking a nap in your bed and letting time pass can be incredibly relaxing.

As your town develops, Pokémon may come to you with requests. Help solve their problems or improve the town to make it a more comfortable place for everyone. Eventually, you’ll be able to build a spacious home of your own and invite Pokémon-and even other players via local wireless or online-to visit and hang out together.
